O decreto que regulamenta a Lei nº 14.237, de 19 de novembro de 2021, que instituiu o Auxílio Gás, foi publicado no Diário Oficial da União nesta sexta-feira (3).
As famílias beneficiadas terão direito, a cada dois meses, a um valor equivalente a 50% da média do preço nacional de referência do botijão de 13 quilos (kg) dos últimos seis meses. Esse preço de referência será estabelecido pela Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP).
O Auxílio Gás é destinado a aliviar o efeito do preço do gás de cozinha, gás liquefeito de petróleo (GLP), sobre o orçamento das famílias de baixa renda. O auxílio será concedido às famílias inscritas no Cadastro Único para Programas Sociais cuja renda familiar mensal per capita for igual ou inferior a meio salário-mínimo e às famílias que tenham entre seus membros quem receba o Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC).
De acordo com a lei regulamentada, o auxílio será também concedido, preferencialmente, às famílias com mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica que estejam sob o monitoramento de medidas protetivas de urgência. O decreto que regulamenta a lei esclarece que a concessão preferencial será realizada a partir do acesso a informações constantes de banco de dados mantido pelo Conselho Nacional de Justiça.
O decreto viabiliza também a implantação do benefício a partir de dezembro de 2021, uma vez que pretende-se diminuir o efeito do preço do gás de cozinha sobre o orçamento das famílias de baixa renda, tendo em vista o país passar por um momento de dificuldade econômica, em consequência da pandemia do covid-19.
