Minas Gerais ultrapassou, nesta quinta-feira (31), a marca de 82% da população acima de cinco anos de idade vacinada com a segunda dose ou dose única do imunizante contra a covid-19. Em relação à primeira aplicação, a cobertura está em 87%. Já na dose de reforço, apenas 53% do público-alvo está imunizado. De acordo com a Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG), a estimativa é a de que cerca de 5 milhões de pessoas já poderiam ter tomado a terceira injeção, mas não retornaram ao posto de saúde.
Ainda segundo a SES, considerando o prazo para se tomar a dose de reforço, sendo de 4 meses a partir da aplicação da segunda dose, e de 2 meses a partir da aplicação da dose única, o estado tem, hoje, 13,7 milhões de pessoas aptas a receber a dose de reforço.
Segundo dados do Painel Vacinômetro, em 31/3, já foram aplicadas 8,7 milhões dessas doses, ou seja, ainda há 5 milhões de pessoas que já podem tomar a dose de reforço em Minas Gerais e estão atrasadas.
O secretário de Estado de Saúde, Fábio Baccheretti, ressalta que as vacinas são fundamentais para o combate à pandemia. “A vacinação é segura e confere uma proteção coletiva e contra casos graves da doença. Se vacinar e seguir corretamente o ciclo das três doses é uma ação responsável com toda a comunidade, já que isso reduz a chance de transmissão do vírus e o surgimento de variantes mais agressivas”, destaca.
– Quarta dose
ASES-MG, iniciou na última terça-feira (29) a distribuição de 533.305 vacinas contra a covid-19 da AstraZeneca. A remessa é destinada à aplicação de quarta dose (segunda dose de reforço) em pessoas com 80 ou mais anos de idade.
Esse quantitativo é suficiente para imunizar todo o público-alvo no estado, estimado em 531.564 pessoas, segundo dados da Fundação João Pinheiro (FJP).

De acordo com dados do Boletim Epidemiológico desta quinta (31), Minas tem 3.326.360 casos confirmados da doença. Além disso, outros 54.536 casos estão em acompanhamento, enquanto que 3.210.974 de pessoas foram recuperadas. Estão confirmadas 60.850 mortes em decorrência da covid-19.
