O pagamento pode ser feito nos agentes arrecadadores autorizados (Bradesco, Sicoob, Mercantil do Brasil, Caixa Econômica Federal, casas lotéricas, Mais BB, Banco Postal Brasileiro, Itaú e Santander), informando o Renavam nos guichês, terminais de autoatendimento ou internet/aplicativos.

O balanço parcial aponta uma arrecadação de R$ 3,9 bilhões com o IPVA até o último dia 20, o equivalente a 55% do total de R$ 7,1 previstos. Neste ano, houve aumento do número de veículos com o imposto quitado em cota única, chegando a 4,1 milhões de automóveis, o que representa 39% da frota tributável de 10,6 milhões.
