    PREFEITURA PROMOVE AÇÃO PARA INFORMAR POPULAÇÃO SOBRE OS DIREITOS DO AUTISTA

    Na última quarta-feira (13), servidores do Centro de Referência Especializado de Assistência Social (CREAS) orientaram os cidadãos presentes na Policlínica Municipal acerca dos direitos das pessoas que possuem o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA).

    A condição, que surge nos primeiros anos de vida e tende a persistir na adolescência e na idade adulta, consiste em alterações do desenvolvimento neurológico marcadas principalmente pela dificuldade na socialização dos indivíduos. São exemplos dos direitos conquistados:

    Redução da jornada de trabalho para servidores públicos com filhos autistas – depende da aprovação prévia no respectivo nível de governo à Lei Federal 13.370/16; gratuidade no transporte interestadual para famílias com renda familiar de até dois salários mínimos; acesso ao Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) para famílias que possuem renda per capita de até ¼ de salário mínimo; atendimento educacional especializado; acessibilidade e prioridade de atendimento em espaços públicos e privados.

    “Conhecer sobre as condições clínicas, psicossociais e das garantias instituídas às pessoas com autismo contribui tanto para a autossuficiência dos indivíduos quanto para a melhoria da comunicação e do relacionamento entre todos que convivem junto à pessoa com o transtorno.”, destaca o assistente social do CREAS, Douglas Antunes.

    A Lei 13.977/20, conhecida como Lei Romeo Mion, cria a Carteira de Identificação da Pessoa com o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (Ciptea). A legislação é uma resposta à impossibilidade de se identificar o autismo visualmente, o que com frequência gera obstáculos de acesso a atendimentos prioritários e a serviços aos quais o autista tem direito, como estacionar em uma vaga para pessoas com deficiência. O documento pode ser solicitado virtualmente acessando o site https://cidadao.mg.gov.br.
