A Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG) repassou aos municípios mineiros orientações para administração de uma terceira dose de vacinas anticovid (primeira dose de reforço) em adolescentes com idade entre 12 e 17 anos. A orientação é baseada em nota técnica do Ministério da Saúde (Nº 35/2022-SECOVID/GAB/SECOVID/MS).
A SES-MG aguarda o envio de doses por parte do MS para ampliar a campanha de imunização para este grupo específico, mas os municípios que tiverem disponibilidade de vacinas poderão iniciar a administração em seus territórios. A população estimada de adolescente (total) no estado de Minas Gerais é de 1.703.309 pessoas.
Segundo a nota técnica do MS, a terceira dose deve ser administrada somente quatro meses após a última dose do esquema vacinal primário (D2). Os adolescentes devem ser imunizados, preferencialmente, com a vacina da Pfizer, independente do imunizante aplicado nas duas primeiras doses. Se houver indisponibilidade no município, a Coronavac pode ser utilizada.
É importante ressaltar que os dois imunizantes são autorizados pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) para essa faixa etária. A recomendação também é válida para adolescentes gestantes e puérperas. No caso dos adolescentes imunocomprometidos, apenas a vacina da Pfizer deve ser utilizada.
A SES-MG reforça que os municípios são responsáveis pela operacionalização da campanha e devem realizar o planejamento em seus territórios, conforme a realidade local.
