O Projeto Nova Serrana Olímpica promove aulas gratuitas para crianças entre 7 e 17 anos em diversas modalidades esportivas. Mais de 1.800 alunos são atendidos mensalmente.
Os treinos acontecem três vezes por semana em várias quadras esportivas e campos da cidade. Os interessados em participar devem preencher a ficha de inscrição que está disponível nos locais de treinos (procurar o treinador responsável).
Além da ficha preenchida, deve ser apresentado também um atestado médico. Para participar é necessário ainda comprovar frequência escolar. Mais informações podem ser obtidas pelo telefone (37) 3226-9012.

Em 2022, as ações do Projeto iniciaram em fevereiro e se encerrarão em dezembro. Sob o comando dos professores da rede municipal, as crianças estudam de manhã, treinam a tarde e vice-versa.
Todo o material usado é fornecido pela Prefeitura como: kits com bolas, cones e coletes. Além da disponibilização de transporte para as equipes de competição do Projeto.
No começo deste ano os professores do Nova Serrana Olímpica participaram de cursos e capacitações voltados às modalidades ofertadas. Buscando a melhor aplicação do ensino, cerca de 150 certificados foram emitidos e entregues aos profissionais.
