A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde (SES-MG) confirmou mais uma morte em decorrência da varíola dos macacos no estado. A vítima é um homem de 33 anos, residente em Divinópolis. Ele estava internado em Belo Horizonte e morreu no sábado (22).
Este é o terceiro óbito em Minas e o oitavo em todo o país. Com isso, o Brasil lidera em números de mortes confirmadas pela doença. Até o momento, o país registra 9.026 casos confirmados.
De acordo com a SES, Minas tem 553 casos de monkeypox confirmados por exames laboratoriais. Outros 1.708 casos foram descartados e há 347 casos suspeitos.
