A prefeitura de Nova Serrana inaugurou oficialmente, nesta quinta-feira (15), a reforma e ampliação do Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil – Cmei Sebastião Batista Lago.
A unidade instalada no bairro Planalto tinha 500² de área construída e 130 vagas para atender os alunos. Com as mudanças, o local passa a ter 1.815 m² e capacidade para atender até 326 crianças. O valor investido foi de R$ 2 milhões.
O prédio existe há 30 anos, sendo desde 2007 sob a tutela da prefeitura. Nunca havia passado por uma reforma tão ampla como esta, apenas reparos paliativos.
O local conta com equipe pedagógica completa e capacitada para atender os alunos dos bairros Planalto, Antônio Venâncio, Sandra Regina, Lincoln Nogueira e Frei Ambrósio.
