Na próxima sexta (24), acontecerá a inauguração do Centro Nefrológico José Lourenço Caetano em anexo ao Hospital São José. A unidade atenderá pacientes em tratamento renal do município e de todo o Centro-Oeste de Minas.
Ao todo, a unidade tem capacidade para atender até 90 pacientes por dia, gerando mensalmente mais de 1.100 sessões de hemodiálise. Será oferecido também diálise peritoneal e acompanhamento ambulatorial multiprofissional de pacientes da nefrologia, para garantir atendimento com ainda mais qualidade.
Além dos esforços em busca de recursos do Governo Municipal e do apoio dado ao Hospital São José, por meio da Comissão Interventora, foram investidos pelo próprio hospital mais de R$ 2 milhões de reais na construção do prédio. Cerca de R$1,5 milhão, foram oriundos de emenda parlamentar, aplicados na equipagem do Centro.
O prefeito Euzebio Lago destaca o conforto para os pacientes de Nova Serrana, que viajam cotidianamente para tratamento. “Nova Serrana é privilegiada e a população tem mais um grande motivo para comemorar. Para se ter uma ideia, apenas 7% dos municípios brasileiros possuem uma estrutura como esta. Hoje temos quase 40 pacientes residentes aqui em Nova Serrana, que precisam se deslocar até outras cidades, três vezes por semana, para receber o tratamento. Graças a Deus, esse tempo está por acabar em nossa cidade”, conclui.
