O Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil (Cmei) Jurema Maria Silveira Apgaua, que já atende mais de 90 crianças desde fevereiro, foi oficialmente inaugurado na última sexta-feira (14/4).
Na cerimônia de entrega estiveram presentes o prefeito Euzebio Lago e seu vice Nelson Moreto, a secretária de Educação e Cultura, Neusa Lago, a família homenageada, outros secretários do município e servidores da instituição de ensino.
Além da homenagem realizada à família da professora Jurema Maria, autoridades também deixaram suas considerações. Ainda durante o momento, foi realizada uma apresentação de uma das turmas do Cmei.
“Essa inauguração representa o compromisso do nosso governo em atender as demandas da população. Essa região carecia de uma unidade de ensino em tempo integral, onde os pais pudessem deixar seus filhos tranquilamente para trabalhar. Aqui hoje estão estudando alunos, de dois a três anos, dos bairros Laranjeiras, São Geraldo, Morada do Sol, Cidade Nova, Marisa, Industrial José Silva de Almeida, Santa Luzia. Esta é nossa obrigação: investir na educação de qualidade”, destacou na ocasião o prefeito Euzebio Lago.
