Atendendo as diretrizes da Política Nacional de Atenção Integral à Saúde das Pessoas Privadas de Liberdade no Sistema Prisional (Pnaisp), o Presídio de Nova Serrana passa a contar com uma unidade de saúde, com equipe completa, para atendimento aos encarcerados.
Na última quinta (27), a secretária municipal de Saúde de Nova Serrana, Gláucia Sbampato, apresentou o projeto na reunião do Conselho Estratégico de Desenvolvimento Econômico. A unidade contará com espaços adequados para oferecer o serviço de atenção básica às pessoas privadas de liberdade, para não interromper a rotina das UBS dos bairros, quando houver necessidade de atendimento.
Estrutura e equipe
O local contará com sala de triagem, consultório médico e odontológico, sala de enfermagem e outros espaços. A equipe será composta por médico, enfermeiro e técnico de enfermagem, dentista e técnico odontológico, além de assistente social.
A unidade será custeada por meio de uma parceria entre município, estado e Ministério da Saúde. Os profissionais estão sendo contratados, e em cerca de 30 dias a unidade já deverá estar funcionando.
