A Prefeitura de Nova Serrana entrega na sexta (12), a revitalização da rua Tenente Batista, conhecida como “Rua da Pedreira”. O local recebeu um novo projeto paisagístico e se tornou mais um ponto turístico do município.
A “Rua da Pedreira”, localizada no bairro Ipiranga, nas imediações do centro da cidade é uma das regiões mais antigas de Nova Serrana. O bairro abriga residências de muitas das mais tradicionais famílias de Nova Serrana. Por muito tempo, o local, que era conhecido por ser perigoso e ter um alto índice de violência, se tornou uma das regiões mais tranquilas e singelas da cidade.
Com o novo projeto paisagístico, diversas residências receberam pinturas, transformando a rua em um verdadeiro cartão postal de Nova Serrana. A praça instalada no local também foi revitalizada, criando um espaço de convivência e socialização para os moradores.
“A Rua da Pedreira é um dos lugares mais conhecidos e tradicionais de nossa cidade. Famílias que acompanharam por décadas o crescimento de Nova Serrana ainda hoje moram lá. Uma região tão importante como a pedreira não podia continuar esquecida. Revitalizamos o local, que além de se tornar um ponto turístico, encheu a comunidade de orgulho”, comentou o prefeito Euzebio Lago.
A cerimônia de entrega da revitalização acontecerá na sexta-feira, dia 12 de maio, às 17h na rua Tenente Batista, no bairro Ipiranga. Durante o evento haverá apresentação musical da Lira São Sebastião e do cantor Jorge Cruz
