Nova Serrana agora tem uma Escola Pública de Trânsito (Etran). O objetivo da instituição é promover a conscientização do cidadão quanto à adoção de comportamentos adequados nas diversas situações de trânsito vivenciadas no dia a dia pela população. Contribuindo dessa forma, para aumentar a segurança no trânsito e a preservação da vida.
A escola foi instituída por meio do Decreto N° 5/2023, publicado no Diário Oficial do município na segunda-feira (5/6), e motivado pelo art. 74 do Código de Trânsito Brasileiro (CTB), bem como a Resolução n° 929/2022 do Contran que dispõe sobre a regulamentação das Escolas Públicas de Trânsito.
A Etran de Nova Serrana funcionará vinculada à Superintendência de Trânsito e Transporte (Suttran), e o seu trabalho será direcionado principalmente para a promoção de forma contínua de campanhas, programas, projetos e eventos em prol da educação de trânsito, junto aos mais diversos segmentos da sociedade.
