Minas Gerais apresentou resultados positivos no Anuário Brasileiro de Segurança Pública 2023. Segundo dados divulgados nesta semana pelo Fórum Brasileiro de Segurança Pública (FBSP), o número de roubos totais no estado registrou queda superior a 3,5%, passando de 25.421 ocorrências em 2021 para 24.523 no ano passado. Da mesma forma, o roubo a estabelecimentos comerciais caiu de 3.685 para 3.325, uma retração acima de 9,7% na mesma base de comparação.
O Código Penal brasileiro define o roubo como a subtração de bens, mediante grave ameaça ou violência à pessoa. A pena para esse tipo de delito vai de quatro a dez anos, além de multa.
O estudo do FBSP, considerado o mais amplo retrato da segurança pública brasileira, apontou ainda queda acima de 1,5% nos roubos a transeuntes no território mineiro. As ocorrências passaram de 11.065 em 2021 para 10.945 no ano passado. Com retração mais modesta, na mesma base de comparação, está o roubo de celulares, com a retração de 13.202 ocorrências para 12.943, superior a 1,96%.
Além da atuação mais efetiva da PMMG, o Governo de Minas mantém o compromisso de reforçar e melhorar ainda mais a segurança pública, consolidando o estado como o mais seguro do Brasil, conforme balanço divulgado recentemente pelo Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública.
Em fevereiro deste ano, por exemplo, o governador Romeu Zema convocou mais 1.497 novos profissionais aprovados no concurso público da PMMG. Um novo certame também foi anunciado, em março, com vagas para quase 3 mil soldados.
