A Câmara Municipal de Nova Serrana realizou nesta terça-feira (13/09), a 29ª reunião das Comissões Permanentes e a sessão contou com uma longa pauta, sendo um dos principais temas relacionados à proteção do Meio Ambiente.
Em discussão esteve o Projeto de Lei 053/2023 (Substitutivo) que trata sobre a política de proteção, conservação, fiscalização, monitoramento e controle do meio ambiente e da melhoria da qualidade de vida no Município de Nova Serrana.
Para o debate, o presidente da APANS — Associação de Proteção Ambiental de Nova Serrana, João Batista Dias, apresentou diversos pedidos de esclarecimentos sobre a situação em diversas regiões da cidade, apontando a necessidade de mais investimentos reais na área ambiental, além de fiscalização no município.
O secretário municipal de Meio Ambiente, Gabriel Chaves, também participou das discussões sobre o projeto.
A matéria propõe uma nova Lei estabelecendo a política municipal de meio ambiente. O objetivo é incluir no ordenamento jurídico do município, padrões de comportamento e conduta que permitam o desenvolvimento sustentável, por mecanismos e instrumentos capazes de conferir ao meio ambiente uma maior proteção.
O projeto propõe a criação do Núcleo de Educação e Extensão Ambiental para realizar as ações de Educação Ambiental no âmbito das instituições oficiais de ensino e no âmbito dos órgãos públicos e privados, empresas e a sociedade na totalidade.
Outro ponto destacado no projeto é a criação do Fundo Municipal de Meio Ambiente, no qual os recursos obtidos com a gestão ambiental deverão ser utilizados para custear planos, projetos e programas de melhoria da qualidade do meio ambiente no Município e melhorias na infraestrutura do Sistema de Gestão Ambiental Municipal, pagamento a consultores e contratados, desde que submetidos à apreciação do CODEMA.
O projeto foi amplamente debatido, no entanto, os vereadores entendem a necessidade de se promover o aprofundamento deste debate, inclusive com a possibilidade de após a diligência regimental solicitada, realizar também reuniões técnicas ou audiência públicas sobre o tema.
