A Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG) já encaminhou às 28 Unidades Regionais de Saúde (URS) do estado todas as doses das vacinas que serão utilizadas pelos municípios para a Campanha de Multivacinação, que começa neste sábado (21/10) e segue até 4/11.
O principal objetivo da campanha é conscientizar a população sobre a importância de imunizar crianças e adolescentes de até 15 anos de idade contra as doenças preveníveis, destacando que as vacinas são seguras e desempenham um papel fundamental na preservação de vidas. Estarão disponíveis os imunizantes contra a hepatite, febre amarela, meningite, poliomielite, sarampo e HPV, entre outros. Todas as doses, disponibilizadas pelo Ministério da Saúde, foram encaminhadas às URS conforme a demanda dos municípios que compõem seus territórios.
A multivacinação é uma estratégia que visa facilitar o acesso da população elegível a várias vacinas em um único momento, simplificando a visita dos pais ou responsáveis às unidades básicas de saúde (UBS) para a atualização do cartão de vacinação, segundo o Calendário Nacional de Vacinação.
