Em uma cerimônia da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB) — 144ª Subseção Nova Serrana, o prefeito Euzebio Lago foi homenageado pela instituição. Na cerimônia, ocorrida na segunda (6/11), também aconteceu a entrega das carteiras profissionais da OAB a novos inscritos, e, homenagem aos advogados com mais de 25 anos de profissão.
O prefeito Euzebio Lago fez questão de destacar sua alegria com a homenagem. “É com enorme satisfação que recebo esta homenagem. A doação do terreno para construção da sede da instituição foi um compromisso que assumi e trabalhei para entregar. Reconhecemos a importância da OAB e do serviço que realiza em Nova Serrana”.
A apresentação da área foi realizada em março deste ano. Em seguida, o Projeto de Lei para cessão do terreno foi encaminhado para Câmara Municipal e aprovado pelos vereadores. Em agosto, a Lei de N.° 3.157/2023 foi sancionada autorizando a doação que servirá para construção de sede própria.
Além da entrega das carteiras para os novos advogados inscritos e das homenagens prestadas, aconteceu também uma palestra com o presidente da OAB seção Minas Gerais (MG), Sérgio Leonardo.
Os vereadores da Câmara Municipal de Nova Serrana também foram homenageados na ocasião.
