Aconteceu na sexta-feira (15) a inauguração de uma passarela, no perímetro urbano da BR 262, em Nova Serrana. A passagem de pedestres fica no km 446,5, entre os bairros Veredas da Serra e Francisco Lucas.
Com investimento de mais de R$ 2 milhões de reais, em recursos próprios do município, o prefeito Euzebio Lago fez questão de destacar: “não tem dinheiro que pague uma vida, porque uma vida não tem preço!”
O chefe do executivo no município, ressaltou também a ação de todos os envolvidos: “eu quero agradecer aos 11 dos 13 vereadores que votaram pela aprovação deste projeto na Câmara, ao deputado federal Newton Cardoso Júnior, que realizou uma intervenção em Brasília para que pudesse liberar mais rápido e ser entregue, fazendo assim essa passarela. Além de todos os envolvidos nesta construção na pessoa do secretário de Obras e Desenvolvimento Urbano, Hedy Wilson. Enfim, hoje estamos aqui celebrando mais uma vez, porque demandas históricas agora estão saindo do papel!”, finalizou Euzebio Lago.
Durante a ocasião, o governo municipal homenageou também a família de Antônio Francisco Elias “Tõe Turco”, patrono da passarela. Além dos familiares, estiveram presentes no momento secretários municipais, vereadores, servidores públicos, representantes da Polícia Militar (PM) e da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), além de agentes de departamentos da Prefeitura.
