Numa iniciativa inovadora, a Prefeitura de Nova Serrana tem trabalhado para construir o Radical Park, um espaço público adequado para a realização de treinos e competições voltadas para a prática de esporte e lazer.
Com investimento de aproximadamente 2,5 milhões de reais, o local está sendo preparado para ser utilizado por atletas profissionais e amadores de skate, patins e BMX.
O prefeito Euzebio Lago que visitou a obra para acompanhar o andamento comentou: “nós estamos trabalhando para favorecer a prática esportiva no município, e esta é mais uma ação. Acreditamos que podemos construir aqui mais do que uma estrutura, um ambiente saudável de convivência e convívio social.”
As obras no local estão avançadas. Conforme o secretário de Obras e Desenvolvimento Urbano, Hedy Wilson, o projeto está com aproximadamente 50% de execução.
O plano contempla áreas específicas para prática esportiva de: skate, patins e BMX. O local contará com parede de escalada, palco, arquibancadas, área de aparelhos de academia ao ar livre, praça de alimentação, vestiários e área arborizada.
A obra está localizada na rua Nova Orleans, no bairro Belvedere, em Nova Serrana.
