Os vereadores da Câmara Municipal de Nova Serrana realizaram na terça-feira (28), a 16ª reunião ordinária que contou com dois oradores inscritos para usar a Tribuna Livre. O presidente da Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais – APAE Nova Serrana, Geraldo Dias Cordeiro e também o presidente de honra, Welington José Lacerda falaram sobre o trabalho realizado pela entidade. Eles apresentaram as dificuldades enfrentadas pela diretoria e também pelos pais de alunos e, além disso, fizeram um pedido de apoio à Câmara para a manutenção das atividades da associação.
“Sabemos o quanto essa Legislatura tem trabalhado pelas associações de Nova Serrana e nós da APAE também precisamos contar com o apoio dos vereadores para que toda a comunidade apaeana possa termos mais condições de cuidar dos nossos alunos especiais e, além disso, fazer a APAE crescer e oferecer ainda mais para nossa população”, declararam os oradores.
Após o pronunciamento dos presidentes, os alunos da APAE realizaram uma encantadora apresentação artística que contou com teatro, circo, música e o final ficou com uma releitura do clássico da dança com Dirty Dancing. Não havia ninguém no plenário que não tenha se emocionado com o talento dos alunos.
Os vereadores enalteceram o empenho e dedicação de todos da APAE. Ressaltaram o quanto os serviços desenvolvidos na associação são essenciais para as famílias que possuem pessoas com necessidades especiais, assim como para toda a sociedade. Os vereadores em seus pronunciamentos manifestaram suas contribuições para a APAE através dos recursos das Emendas Impositivas e, esta soma, totalizou a quantia de R$ 1.250.000,00 (Um milhão e duzentos e cinquenta mil reais), para o orçamento de 2025.
O presidente da Câmara, vereador Cabral (SDD), falou em nome de todos os parlamentares, destacando que a Câmara é uma instituição que sempre será parceira da APAE na luta pelos direitos das pessoas com necessidades especiais.
