A partir da zero hora de sexta-feira (21), a gestão de parte da BR-262 estará sob a responsabilidade da concessionária Way Brasil. A empresa assumirá a chamada Rota do Zebu, que liga o Triângulo Mineiro à Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, passando por Nova Serrana. Até então, a concessão da rodovia pertence à Triunfo Concebra.
O trecho compreende 438 quilômetros, passando por 20 cidades, entre elas Juatuba, Pará de Minas, Nova Serrana, Luz e Araxá. A Way assumiu a responsabilidade pela administração, recuperação, conservação, manutenção, implantação de melhorias e ampliação do trecho, pelos próximos 30 anos.
A empresa investiu R$ 8,5 bilhões no contrato, com a previsão de que sejam criados mais de 62 mil empregos diretos e indiretos, da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte até a área considerada a porta do Triângulo Mineiro, ao longo dos próximos anos.
Neste primeiro momento, o cronograma prevê a recuperação do pavimento, com a requalificação completa das pistas para garantir conforto e segurança aos usuários.
O passo seguinte será a duplicação dos 44 km entre Nova Serrana e Bom Despacho, além da criação de 168 km de faixas adicionais, para ampliar a capacidade e reduzir acidentes nos trechos mais movimentados.
Pedágio em Nova Serrana
A chegada da Way coincide com o reajuste tarifário nos pedágios, que será cobrado a partir da próxima sexta-feira (21). O menor valor, que passará a ser cobrado no pedágio em Florestal, será de R$ 10,30. Já o maior, R$ 82,40.
Conforme o edital, o trecho deverá ter seis praças de pedágio, sendo quatro já existentes e duas que serão construídas, uma em Nova Serrana e outra em Araxá. Atualmente, o valor desembolsado de quem viaja pelo trecho é de R$ 30,40. Até a entrega das duas novas praças, os usuários terão que desembolsar R$ 38,39, já representando um aumento de 26,28% em relação ao valor pago atualmente.
Não há informações do local exato onde será construído o posto de pedágio no município de Nova Serrana.
