O Ministério da Saúde publicou um alerta para que os estados e municípios reforcem a vigilância e ações para indivíduos que apresentem sinais e sintomas de sarampo. De acordo com a pasta, 34 casos foram confirmados este ano até a Semana Epidemiológica 38, que vai de 29 de setembro a 5 de outubro. A preocupação do ministério é evitar a reintrodução do vírus no país.
Dos casos confirmados, nove foram trazidos por pessoas que retornaram do exterior, 22 tiveram contato com indivíduos infectados lá fora e três são compatíveis geneticamente com vírus em circulação em outros países. Até o momento, os estados do Tocantins, Maranhão e de Mato Grosso estão qualificados como em surto de sarampo.
A diretora da Sociedade Brasileira de Imunizações (SBIm), Isabella Ballalai, aponta que a falta de cobertura vacinal da população tem possibilitado o retorno do sarampo ao país. “Os casos importados aconteciam, tanto um estrangeiro vindo para cá, quanto um brasileiro que viajou e voltou com sarampo, porém, a situação era resolvida porque a nossa vigilância era boa. O sarampo antes entrava e encontrava todo mundo vacinado e não causava surto. Agora ele chega e encontra várias pessoas suscetíveis,” aponta a especialista.
Prefeitura de Nova Serrana reforça vacinação infantil
Com o objetivo de ampliar a imunização das crianças em Nova Serrana, a Prefeitura realiza a vacinação em todas as Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) do município. Pais e responsáveis de crianças com 15 meses a 4 anos de idade devem aderir à campanha e atualizar o cartão de vacinas de seus filhos.
Entre as ações promovidas pela Prefeitura está o atendimento em horário estendido, das 17h às 20h00, nas UBS dos bairros Planalto, São Geraldo, Jeferson Batista e Novo Horizonte. Nesta quarta-feira (15/10), a vacinação também acontece com o Vacimóvel, na Pista de Cooper, das 12h às 20h.
Acontece no próximo sábado (18), o Dia D Vacinação. Todas as UBS’s do município estarão abertas de 07h às 16h, período que serão aplicadas as vacinas específicas, de acordo com cada faixa etária.
