    A Copasa reforça a importância da Tarifa Social, um benefício previsto e garantido pela Lei Federal número 14.203/2021. Em Minas Gerais, mais de 26 mil famílias ainda não atualizaram os dados no CadÚnico (Cadastro Único). O prazo final para estas famílias é até o final de outubro.
    O desconto mensal garante um importante alívio no orçamento das famílias, permitindo que o valor economizado seja destinado a outras necessidades do dia a dia.
     

    O que é a Tarifa Social?

    O programa concede até 50% de desconto na fatura mensal de água e esgoto para consumo de até 20 metros cúbicos de água. Podem participar famílias inscritas no CadÚnico, com renda mensal de até meio salário mínimo por pessoa, além de idosos e pessoas com deficiência que recebem o Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC).
    Para ter acesso ao desconto, basta que a família se enquadre nos critérios e faça a solicitação junto à Copasa.
     

    Como se inscrever ou atualizar o cadastro?

    A adesão é simples, gratuita e pode ser feita a qualquer momento. Para solicitar, o cliente precisa apresentar:
    ● Documento de identidade e CPF;
    ● Conta de água da residência;
    ● Comprovante de Cadastro no CadÚnico.
    O pedido pode ser feito por meio dos canais de relacionamento da Copasa. São eles: Webchat: por meio deste site, WhatsApp: (31) 99770-7000 (funcionamento de segunda a sexta-feira, das 8h às 18h, e aos sábados, domingos e feriados (exceto nacionais), das 8h às 12h), e por meio das agências de atendimento presencial (veja endereço da agência mais próxima, na conta de água).
    Após a validação dos dados, o desconto já passa a valer nas próximas faturas. Já para atualizar o cadastro o cliente deve procurar o Centro de Referência de Assistência Social (CRAS) ou setor do CadÚnico para atualizar os dados e depois apresentar o comprovante de inscrição no CadÚnico na Copasa.
