O Governo Municipal de Nova Serrana iniciou nesta semana a reconstrução da Rodovia Municipal Carmem Duarte. A medida vai beneficiar milhares de moradores do Distrito de Boa Vista e bairros como Antônio Venâncio, Esplanada, Lincoln Nogueira e Planalto. A previsão é concluir os trabalhos em três meses.
A obra começou com a retirada do asfalto velho, compactação do solo e criação de uma nova base para receber o novo asfalto. De acordo com o secretário de Desenvolvimento Urbano, Hedy Wilson, o material retirado será reaproveitado em obras de melhorias nas estradas de algumas comunidades rurais.
“Após essa primeira etapa, nos 4,5 quilômetros de extensão da rodovia que serão reconstruídos receberão, será feira nova pavimentação, além de sinalização de trânsito, com pintura e “olhos de gato”. Todo o trecho também contará com obras de drenagem, a fim de evitar pontos de alagamento. Também será criada em toda extensão, uma ciclovia para dar segurança aos ciclistas que já utilizam o trecho para a prática do esporte e atividades físicas, como corridas e caminhadas”, relata.
A obra é uma antiga reivindicação dos moradores do Distrito de Boa Vista, e, nos últimos anos, tem sido também uma demanda dos moradores dos bairros Antônio Venâncio e Lincoln Nogueira. No total, serão investidos na obra aproximadamente R$3 milhões de reais de recursos do próprio município.
