    A Ong Arca de Noé desenvolve em Nova Serrana um trabalho voltado para a proteção e valorização da vida animal. Durante a 19ª reunião ordinária da Câmara Municipal, foi aprovado o projeto de autoria do vereador Willian Barcelos (PTB) que dá à entidade o título de Utilidade Pública, tornando-a apta a receber recursos públicos oriundos das esferas estadual, federal e municipal para que possa continuar e até mesmo ampliar o trabalho de proteção e garantia dos direitos dos animais.

    A Ong Arca de Noé foi fundada em 2020 para trabalhar no desenvolvimento de diversas ações de alcance social. Entre os objetivos da entidade estão: promover campanhas educativas e orientar a população quanto o respeito e os cuidados com os animais e o meio ambiente; colaborar com os órgãos competentes no sentido de aprimorar a legislação e os tratos relativos aos direitos dos animais; fiscalizar o cumprimento da legislação relativa aos animais e ao meio ambiente; atuar em programas de controle populacional de animais domésticos e posse responsável; criar e manter abrigo para recolhimento e tratamento de animais abandonados, dentre outros.
