O último sábado (14) foi marcado pela inauguração do Cmei Francisco Pedro dos Santos, (Cmei Chico Bentinho), instalado entre os bairros Romeu Duarte e Jeferson Batista em Nova Serrana.
A unidade conta com fraldário, sala de amamentação, lavanderia, cozinha, sala de professores, pátio coberto para refeições, jardins, playground, hortas e banheiros com acessibilidade. Mais de 120 crianças serão atendidas em tempo integral no Cmei.
Em nota, a assessoria de comunicação informou que a obra foi custeada 100% pelo município, um investimento de aproximadamente R$3 milhões: sendo R$ 1 milhão da aquisição do terreno e R$2 milhões da construção do prédio.
“Eu, como prefeito, tenho a enorme satisfação de entregar aos moradores do Jeferson Batista, Romeu Duarte, e região, esta unidade de educação, que vai beneficiar as famílias, que em muitos casos precisavam pagar espaços particulares para deixarem seus filhos durante o dia. Determinei a aquisição de um terreno para este fim, uma vez que nesta região já não havia mais áreas institucionais disponíveis. Destinei recursos municipais para a construção desta unidade, que conta com toda infraestrutura para atender mais de 100 crianças em tempo integral. Crianças estas que eram atendidas aqui em porões e locais improvisados. Dessa forma, sabendo da necessidade de oferecer conforto e um espaço adequado, construímos este prédio e estamos aqui, hoje, fazendo esta inauguração” comemorou o prefeito Euzebio Lago durante a solenidade.
