A Associação de Combate ao Câncer do Centro Oeste de Minas (Acom) inaugurou nesta terça (29), em parceria com a Prefeitura de Nova Serrana e o Lions Clube a segunda unidade do Centro Oncológico. O intuito é proporcionar à população local de fácil acesso a serviços de diagnóstico precoce e tratamento especializado, com foco em exames de mamografia e outros serviços essenciais como ultrassonografia, biópsias, triagem oncológica e apoio psicológico.
Conforme o presidente da Acom, Marcelo Carlos da Silva, a unidade visa promover a saúde preventiva e terapêutica para a população de Nova Serrana. No local serão oferecidos, exames de mamografia, ultrassonografia (US Mama, Core Biopsy, PAAF, biópsias – incluindo Biópsia da Próstata, além de consultas e triagem oncológica, coleta de citológico em Ginecologia, cirurgia de pele minimamente invasiva ambulatorial e sessões de Psicologia Clínica Oncológica. “Esta unidade do Centro Oncológico é mais um marco para a história da Acom, e só foi possível realizá-los graças à parceria e ao empenho da Prefeitura e do Lions de Nova Serrana. A criação dessa unidade foi feita por meio do custeio da Secretaria de Saúde da cidade, e de recursos próprios de doação da Acom. O Município custeou o mamógrafo, e o aluguel do imóvel. Já a Acom reformou e adequou o local, e está adquirindo os equipamentos necessários para ofertar todos esses serviços, que juntos somarão um investimento de cerca de R$ 500 mil”, reforça.
Unidade Nova Serrana
O Centro Oncológico da Acom funciona na rua Antônio Martins, nº 225, centro, de segunda a sexta-feira, das 7h às 17h, e terá capacidade mensal de atendimento para realizar: 600 mamografias, 30 ultrassonografias (US Mama), 16 Core biopsy, 10 PAAF (Punção Aspirativa por Agulha Fina guiada por ultrassom é um procedimento minimamente invasivo usado para coletar amostras de células ou tecidos de nódulos ou lesões), 50 consultas de Urologia, 10 biópsias da próstata, 50 consultas de Ginecologia. Serão oferecidos também: 50 exames citológicos, 40 consultas de Cirurgia Geral, 20 cirurgias de Pele, 40 consultas de Triagem Oncológica e 80 sessões psicológicas.
