AEDES AEGYPTI: EM TEMPOS DE CHUVA É NECESSÁRIO REDOBRAR OS CUIDADOS

Com a proximidade do verão e das temporadas de chuvas, a Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG) alerta para a importância da adoção de ações para prevenir e enfrentar o Aedes aegypt. O mosquito que transmite o vírus da dengue também é capaz de transmitir outras doenças, como a zika, a chikungunya e a febre amarela (urbana). Portanto, a participação de todos é fundamental para eliminação do mosquito e controle do número de casos dessas doenças.

“As pessoas, precisam estar atentas, pois 80% dos criadouros do mosquito estão dentro das residências. Eles se procriam na água parada, em caixas d’água destampadas, garrafas e recipientes que acumulam água. Por exemplo, as vasilhas de água de animais. As pessoas pensam que basta trocar a água desses recipientes, mas isso não é suficiente. É preciso lavar com esponja e sabão. A fêmea do mosquito gruda seus ovos na parede desses vasilhames, que aderem naquela superfície. Com a água colocada ali, os ovos eclodem e viram larvas, depois mosquitos”, informa a coordenadora estadual de Vigilância das Arboviroses da SES-MG, Danielle Capistrano.

De acordo com a coordenadora, o ideal é que os recipientes sejam lavados com bucha e sabão, visando a remoção completa dos ovos do mosquito. “Considerando que o ciclo tem uma duração média de sete dias, recomenda-se que seja feita a limpeza semanal tantos dos bebedouros quantos dos quintais e varandas. Quando temos temperaturas mais altas, pode ocorrer a aceleração do ciclo, situação em que seria recomendável a higienização e limpeza com mais frequência, pelo menos, duas vezes na semana”, explica.

Capistrano aponta que alguns locais merecem atenção redobrada, pois são denominados macrocriadores, uma vez que constituem grandes reservatórios que podem ser fonte de procriação em larga escala do Aedes. Por exemplo:

– Piscinas não tratadas, geralmente sem utilização;

– Caixas d’água destampadas;

– Reservatórios no nível do solo, em que as pessoas acumulam águas das chuvas para molhar plantas, lavar quintal;

– Locais que têm dificuldade de acesso à água encanada também requerem atenção, uma vez que as pessoas costumam reservar água para consumo. Os pontos precisam ser cobertos, impedindo o contato do mosquito com a água;

– O lixo domiciliar deve ser bem embalado e colocado na rua para coleta somente nos dias programados, preferencialmente no horário em que é feito o recolhimento, para que esse saco não rasgue, deixando resíduos que possam acumular água;

– As calhas devem estar limpas, garrafas viradas para baixo, entre outros cuidados.
