A partir de 1º agosto mais de 80% da população que possui algum serviço de tratamento de esgoto em Minas Gerais perceberá uma redução de até 15% no valor das suas faturas. Em média, os consumidores de água e esgoto da Copasa terão redução de 1,52% na conta, além da unificação geral da tarifa para o serviço de esgoto. A deliberação sobre a revisão tarifária da Copasa foi aprovada nesta quinta-feira (24) em reunião extraordinária da Diretoria Colegiada da Arsae-MG.
A redução no valor final da conta dependerá do volume consumido, do tipo de cliente (residencial, social, comercial, industrial e público) e do tipo de tratamento de esgoto utilizado. Na prática, um usuário residencial com água, coleta e tratamento de esgoto que consome até 5m³, por exemplo, deixa de pagar uma conta de R$ 36,04 e passa a pagar R$ 30,64, uma redução de 14,98%.
Além disso, a Arsae-MG extinguiu a tarifa de tratamento de esgoto e definiu uma única tarifa para o serviço, seja ele coleta ou tratamento. Essa nova tarifa representa o valor de 74% da tarifa de água, bem inferior aos 100% atuais para quem tem o esgoto tratado.
Atualmente, a Copasa possui duas tarifas de esgotamento sanitário a depender do tipo de serviço que fornece. Se o usuário tem apenas a coleta e o afastamento do seu esgoto, ele paga a tarifa EDC, que representa 25% da tarifa de água. Se ele possui o serviço completo de esgoto, com a coleta, afastamento e também o tratamento, ele paga a tarifa EDT, que representa 100% da tarifa de água. Porém, as tarifas EDC pagam menos da metade dos custos incorridos pelo prestador. Ou seja, quem tem tratamento de esgoto subsidia grande parte da conta de quem tem somente coleta. Agora, com a mudança aprovada, a Copasa passará a ter uma única tarifa para o serviço de esgoto, independentemente do serviço prestado.
