Uma inovação trazida pelo normativo é a disponibilização do cadastro da Tarifa Social via internet e aplicativo.
E a partir de agora o benefício da Tarifa Social de Água e Esgoto, que é aplicável aos usuários com baixa capacidade de pagamento das faturas por esses serviços, será limitado às tarifas das faixas de consumo até 20 m³ da categoria social. Acima de 20m³, as tarifas aplicadas aos usuários da categoria social serão as mesmas tarifas da categoria residencial. “E para aqueles usuários que tem baixa capacidade de pagamento, conforme os critérios definidos para receber o benefício da Tarifa Social, eles fazem jus a um desconto de 50% nas contas de água”, esclarece o chefe de gabinete da Arsae-MG, Gustavo Medeiros.
O cadastramento e recadastramento das unidades usuárias na categoria social deverão ser feitos pelo prestador de serviços, com base em informações obtidas no CadÚnico. Para cadastramento das unidades usuárias na categoria social não identificadas automaticamente, os usuários deverão dirigir-se ao prestador de serviços para cadastramento, munidos dos seguintes documentos:
I – folha resumo do CadÚnico;
II – documento oficial de identificação;
III – comprovante de endereço;
IV – fatura recente de água e/ou esgoto.
As alterações na Tarifa Social definidas na Resolução serão implementadas para cada prestador dos serviços regulados pela Arsae-MG a partir da próxima revisão tarifária.
