O Brasil recebeu na sexta-feira (9) o primeiro lote com 1,4 milhão de doses de vacinas bivalentes contra covid-19. As doses são de fabricação da Pfizer e protegem contra a variante Ômicron original e a variante BA1.
Em comunicado, o Ministério da Saúde informou que o contrato firmado com o laboratório prevê a entrega de todas as vacinas disponíveis, com as atualizações, e aprovadas pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa). Para identificação, os frascos das vacinas bivalentes têm tampa na cor cinza, cada um com seis doses.
Agora, as doses passarão por avaliação e análise do Instituto Nacional de Controle de Qualidade em Saúde. As orientações sobre a distribuição, a aplicação das vacinas e o público-alvo serão divulgadas pelo Ministério da Saúde, em nota técnica, nos próximos dias.
“Mesmo diante da chegada dos novos lotes de vacinas, é importante reforçar que as doses disponíveis neste momento nas salas de vacinação de todo Brasil são eficazes contra a doença e protegem contra casos graves e óbitos. Os brasileiros devem procurar os postos de vacinação mesmo após o prazo para a dose de reforço”, alertou a pasta.
