Os vereadores da Câmara de Nova Serrana aprovaram nesta terça-feira (01/04), o Programa de Pavimentação Sustentável no município, para promover a substituição gradual da pavimentação convencional por materiais e técnicas que favoreçam a permeabilidade do solo e a eficiência no escoamento das águas pluviais.
A Pavimentação Sustentável prioriza a utilização de pisos intertravados permeáveis e outros materiais de alta drenagem para ruas, calçadas e praças públicas. Utiliza também asfalto ecológico, com tecnologias que reduzam o impacto ambiental e melhorem a absorção da água, assim como pavimentos com base reciclada, oriundos de materiais reaproveitados de obras públicas e privadas.
Conforme o projeto, o Município deverá priorizar a aplicação da pavimentação sustentável nas ruas e avenidas com histórico recorrente de alagamentos e erosões; nos bairros de expansão urbana, visando a infraestrutura adequada ao crescimento populacional; nas regiões próximas a cursos d’água, minimizando impactos ambientais e prevenindo enchentes; e nas áreas de circulação intensa de pedestres e veículos, garantindo durabilidade e segurança.
Para o vereador Adilson Pacheco, autor do projeto,“Nos últimos anos, Nova Serrana e diversos outros municípios brasileiros vêm enfrentando episódios recorrentes de alagamentos e enchentes, principalmente nos períodos chuvosos. O crescimento urbano acelerado, aliado à predominância de pavimentação convencional, tem agravado o escoamento inadequado das águas pluviais, causando prejuízos materiais e estruturais, além de impactar a mobilidade urbana e a segurança da população. Diante dessa realidade, torna-se fundamental a implementação de soluções inovadoras e sustentáveis, como a substituição progressiva da pavimentação tradicional por materiais de maior permeabilidade e eficiência hídrica”, conclui.
A justificativa da matéria, relata que o uso de pisos drenantes, asfaltos ecológicos e técnicas de drenagem urbana sustentável já é uma prática consolidada em municípios como Curitiba-PR, Campinas-SP e Joinville-SC.
