As campanhas nacionais de vacinação contra a influenza e o sarampo terminam na sexta-feira (3). Apesar disso, quase dois meses depois de iniciadas as campanhas, a cobertura vacinal contra as duas doenças segue abaixo das metas e está em 46,5% e 40,4%, respectivamente. Diante disso, a Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG) reforça a importância de se manter o cartão de vacina atualizado. As vacinas são gratuitas e estão disponíveis nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBSs).
Para a gripe, a meta preconizada pelo Ministério da Saúde é de 90% de cobertura vacinal para os grupos prioritários: crianças de seis meses a menores de 5 anos, idosos, trabalhadores da saúde, gestantes e puérperas, povos indígenas, professores, pessoas com comorbidades, pessoas com deficiência permanente, forças de segurança, salvamento e forças armadas, trabalhadores portuários, funcionários do sistema prisional, população privada de liberdade, caminhoneiros, trabalhadores do transporte coletivo rodoviário de passageiros urbano e de longo curso e adolescentes e jovens de 12 a 21 anos de idade sob medidas socioeducativas. Desses, os que apresentam menor taxa de imunizados são os povos indígenas (16,3%), as gestantes (21,3%), puérperas (21,8%), professores (24,7%) e crianças (32,4%).
Em relação ao sarampo, a campanha de 2022 foi direcionada aos trabalhadores da saúde e crianças de seis meses a menores de 5 anos. Segundo dados do Sistema Informação do Programa Nacional de Imunizações (SI-PNI), do Ministério da Saúde, atualizado em 22/5, a cobertura para o primeiro grupo é de 42,1% de um público estimado de 606.091 pessoas e, para o segundo grupo, é de 40,4% de um público estimado de 1.165.916 crianças. A meta vacinal contra o sarampo é de 95%.
“A vacinação é importante, é a forma mais segura e eficaz de interromper a circulação de vírus e evitar a sobrecarga no sistema de saúde. Como a Campanha Nacional de Vacinação contra a Influenza prioriza os grupos mais suscetíveis ao agravamento de doenças respiratórias, se alcançarmos no mínimo 90% de cobertura em cada grupo elegível, conseguiremos o que chamamos de imunidade coletiva. Consequentemente, as outras pessoas, que não estão incluídas nos grupos elegíveis, também ficam protegidas”, explica a coordenadora do Programa de Imunizações da SES-MG, Josianne Gusmão.
Ainda, segundo a coordenadora, Minas Gerais ainda precisa vacinar cerca de 3 milhões de pessoas do total do público elegível para atingir a meta da campanha de vacinação contra a influenza. “Diante disso, reforçamos que todas as pessoas que fazem parte do grupo elegível devem se vacinar. A gripe é uma doença séria e a melhor forma de prevenção é a vacina”.
