No final da manhã desta quinta (23), os bombeiros militares em Nova Serrana foram acionados através do telefone 193, para combater um incêndio que se propagava em um barracão, no bairro Frei Ambrósio. Segundo o solicitante, o local foi arrombado e incendiado.
Ao chegar na edificação, os bombeiros averiguaram que havia chamas na residência, concentrada na sala e em um quarto. O portão de acesso ao barracão estava aberto e a porta de vidro que permitia a entrada na sala estava quebrada. Os militares fizeram um combate usando linhas de arrefecimento e conseguiram confinar o incêndio sem propagação para novos cômodos. Além da sala e um quarto, eletrodomésticos e alguns colchões foram queimados pela massa gasosa proveniente do incêndio.
Também foi informado à equipe no local, que a residência incendiada pertence a um homem, de 49 anos, envolvido em um acidente de trânsito ocorrido no domingo (19), resultando no falecimento de uma criança de 6 anos, e que vitimou, com ferimentos, outros dois adultos.
