Conforme o Painel de Monitoramento de Arboviroses da Secretaria de Estado da Saúde (SES), atualizado na última terça (21), em Nova Serrana contabilizam 1.304 casos suspeitos de dengue. Apesar da situação, não foi registrado nenhum óbito em decorrência das doenças transmitidas pelo mosquito Aedes aegypti (Dengue, Chikungunya e Zika).
Levantamento em janeiro já apontava situação incomum
No final de janeiro, o LIRAa (Levantamento Rápido de Índices para o Aedes aegypti) já apontava uma situação de alto risco, com 11,2% infestação positiva entre os locais pesquisados. O número foi o maior já registrado em toda a série histórica dos levantamentos e apontava para uma situação caótica o sistema de saúde.
UPA Superlotada e reforço no atendimento
Já em março, os casos suspeitos de dengue provocaram uma grande procura por atendimento na Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) de Nova Serrana. Há muito tempo não se observava uma situação assim na principal unidade de saúde pública da cidade. Vídeos circularam nas redes sociais provocando indignação na população.
Na última quarta, o prefeito Euzebio Lago veio a público e anunciou, a partir desta segunda (27), duas unidades de atendimento e hidratação para atender pacientes com sintomas de Dengue. O reforço no atendimento acontecerá na Policlínica Municipal (rua Zacarias Guimarães, 580 — Laranjeiras) e no Postão do Planalto (rua Fernando de Noronha, 691 – Planalto). As unidades funcionarão de segunda a sexta, de 17h às 19h e aos sábados de 7h às 16h.
