CEMIG ALERTA SOBRE OCORRÊNCIAS DE GOLPES CONTRA CLIENTES

Criminosos estão usando o nome da Cemig para enganar a população e extorquir dinheiro em diversas regiões mineiras. Para alertar seus mais de 8,6 milhões de clientes em todo o estado, a empresa informa que os clientes devem ficar atentos às formas de pagamentos e de cobrança feitas pela Cemig para evitar se tornar vítimas.
Por conta da pandemia de covid-19, estelionatários e pessoas de má-fé estão utilizando ainda mais a internet. De acordo com a Polícia Civil de Minas Gerais (PCMG), de janeiro a agosto deste ano, foram registradas cerca de 35 mil ocorrências de golpes virtuais contra a população mineira.
Em casos de tentativa de golpe, a Cemig orienta que seja registrado boletim de ocorrência para a segurança do cliente e para que a Polícia Civil, por meio da Delegacia Especializada em Investigação de Crime Cibernético, possa conduzir a devida investigação.
Durante as investigações, a Cemig também identificou que os criminosos praticam, principalmente, três tipos de golpes contra os clientes da companhia que não se restringem à internet.
O primeiro é por contato telefônico e, na maioria dos casos, aplicado contra estabelecimentos comerciais, como padarias, açougues e comerciantes em geral. Os estelionatários ligam para o cliente Cemig e dizem ser representantes da “4ª Vara Federal” ou da “Justiça Federal” e que a ligação é para cobrar um possível débito existente. Afirmam que, se a dívida não for paga em um prazo curto, a Cemig retirará imediatamente o medidor de energia do local. Após o contato, o cliente recebe um boleto bancário com dados falsificados, por e-mail ou WhatsApp, em nome de empresas ou pessoas físicas que não pertencem à “Cemig Distribuição”.
Geralmente, essa ligação é feita por meio de um telefone 0800, sendo três os números mais comuns utilizados pelos estelionatários: 0800-878-7751, 0800-591-3065 e 0800-878-9783. O esquema é conhecido como “Golpe de 4ª Vara Federal’.
O gerente de Arrecadação e Adimplência da Cemig, Wellington Cancian, explica que as equipes da Cemig são treinadas para confirmar os dados cadastrais dos clientes e também os débitos que motivaram a ligação, reforçando a veracidade de sua atuação.
“Além disso, os clientes que possuem débitos cobrados judicialmente pela Cemig são formalmente notificados pela Justiça para se manifestarem sobre a cobrança. Essa notificação é realizada, normalmente, por correspondência – dificilmente por telefone”, alerta.
Para se prevenir contra esses atos fraudulentos, orienta Cancian, “recomendamos aos nossos clientes que, no momento do pagamento, confiram os valores e a empresa que emitiu a fatura. Os clientes devem desconfiar se alguma informação não estiver correta e, caso não esteja, consulte os canais de atendimento da Cemig para se informar sobre o débito que está sendo cobrado e também se a forma da cobrança está autorizada pela Cemig”, reforça.
– Furtos em residências
Na segunda forma utilizada para o golpe, os estelionatários vão até a casa das pessoas e, de maneira enganosa, se apresentam como funcionários da Cemig e pedem para entrar na residência, com a justificativa de verificar a rede elétrica em algum cômodo. Ao serem encaminhados ao local pelo cliente, os estelionatários normalmente permanecem sozinhos, e, neste momento, aproveitam a situação para furtar objetos, móveis e eletrodomésticos da residência.
“Neste caso, é importante esclarecer que nenhum profissional a serviço da Cemig tem autorização de entrar na residência dos clientes. Apenas em situações em que o medidor se encontra dentro da propriedade é que o funcionário pode entrar e ir até o local do padrão, mas nunca no interior da casa. Também devemos ressaltar que, em situações como essas, os funcionários devem estar portando crachá de identificação e uniformizados.”, afirma Cancian.
– Desconto mentiroso
O outro golpe utilizado e que tem ganhado espaço nos últimos tempos é por meio do WhatsApp. Nessa situação, o cliente recebe uma mensagem em seu celular informando que ele está recebendo um desconto na conta de luz da Cemig. Logo depois dessa informação, recebe outra dizendo que a conta de luz está disponível e que ele pode fazer o pagamento clicando em determinado link.
“É importante ressaltar aos nossos clientes que, em função da legislação do setor elétrico, a Cemig não concede descontos na conta de luz. Para conferência dos valores faturados e cobrados, os clientes podem consultar a fatura original recebida ou acessar nossos canais digitais para coleta das informações ou segunda via da fatura”, detalha.
Ao recebe uma cobrança via telefone, a Cemig recomenda que os clientes liguem imediatamente para o “Fale com a Cemig”, por meio do número 116, para verificação da autenticidade do contato. Além disso, a consulta de valores pendentes pode ser realizada por meio do WhatsApp (31-3506-1160), Telegram (@cemigbot), por SMS pelo número 29810 e, também, pelo App Cemig Atende e Agência Virtual.
