Com o objetivo de reforçar o tema segurança com a energia elétrica com seus clientes, a Cemig disponibiliza, por meio da universidade corporativa UniverCemig, um curso a distância sobre o uso seguro da energia, totalmente gratuito e disponível para toda a população acima de dez anos de idade. Ofertado desde o início da pandemia, cerca de 1.200 pessoas já se capacitaram nesse treinamento online, que emite diploma atestando a capacitação ao final do curso.
O curso a distância faz parte de um conjunto de ações que a Cemig está implementando para reduzir acidentes com a população. De acordo com dados da Associação Brasileira de Conscientização para os Perigos da Eletricidade (Abracopel), somente em 2020 aconteceram 1.502 acidentes de origens elétricas (choques elétricos, incêndios por sobrecarga e descargas atmosféricas) no Brasil, que resultaram em 764 mortes.
O curso é composto por textos, vídeos e atividades sobre o tema, e está organizado em cinco tópicos, totalizando 40 horas de duração, sendo dividido da seguinte forma:
Módulo 1- Os caminhos da energia: da geração até nossas casas – 2 horas
Módulo 2- Sistema elétrico de potência (SEP) – 4 horas.
Módulo 3- Regras básicas para conviver bem com o SEP – 6 horas.
Módulo 4- Uso seguro da energia: dicas de prevenção – 20 horas.
Módulo 5- Uso seguro da energia: dicas extras – dentro de casa – 8 horas.
As inscrições para o curso “Uso Seguro da Energia” podem ser feitas no site da UniverCemig, na aba “curso EaD gratuitos” (www.univercemig.cemig.com.br/ead).
