O furto de cabos elétricos em residências e estabelecimentos comerciais é uma prática que interrompe de forma inesperada o fornecimento de energia no imóvel. Caso o cliente seja vítima dessa prática criminosa, existem alguns procedimentos que podem agilizar o processo de religação da energia.
Confirmada a falta de energia, o cliente deve registrar pedido para restabelecimento na Cemig, por meio de seus canais de atendimento. Uma equipe da empresa vai ao local e, sendo constatado o furto de cabos em alguma parte da instalação do cliente, a energia da rede elétrica é desligada para eliminar o risco de acidentes. Dessa forma, um eletricista de confiança do morador ou proprietário do imóvel poderá providenciar a reposição da fiação roubada.

Por questões de segurança, o profissional que irá repor os cabos somente deve atuar depois que a Cemig desligar a energia e informar ao cliente.
É importante esclarecer que, após o furto, a instalação interna estará sem energia, mas a rede da Cemig permanece energizada e, por essa razão e para garantir a segurança de todos, a empresa deve ser comunicada para que proceda a desconexão do padrão de entrada da instalação com a sua rede elétrica. Ou seja, em nenhuma hipótese, o cliente ou alguém indicado por ele deve se arriscar e trabalhar no padrão antes da atuação da Cemig.
Feita a reposição dos cabos, o cliente deve solicitar à Cemig, por meio de seus canais de atendimento, a religação da energia após o “corte para conserto”. A partir do registro do pedido, uma equipe da companhia vai ao local para religar a energia e normalizar o fornecimento.
