O Centro de Controle de Zoonoses (CCZ) chegou este mês a um número significativo de castrações: mais de mil animais (entre cães e gatos) já foram castrados e microchipados. Nos últimos meses a equipe do CCZ ganhou uma melhor adequação da sala de cirúrgica (que foi melhor equipada) e um aumento no suporte para a realização das ações contidas no programa. A melhora da infraestrutura (tanto física como logística) tem garantido ao Centro de Controle o cumprimento das ações contidas no programa de manejo populacional de cães e gatos e, consequentemente, diminuído o número de animais errantes no município.

O vice-prefeito Nelson Moreto foi designado pelo prefeito Euzebio Lago para acompanhar as ações e melhorias no CCZ.

As esterilizações e microchipagens realizadas nos animais se devem ao fato do município participar do Programa Estadual de Manejo e Controle Populacional de Cães e Gatos, promovidos pela Secretaria Estadual de Meio Ambiente (Semad) e pelo Ministério Público de Minas Gerais (MPMG).

 

O município aderiu ao programa em 2020 e, desde então, o técnico responsável pelo CCZ, e demais profissionais do centro vêm participando de diversos cursos de capacitação, que contribuíram para que se chegasse ao atual resultado.
