A Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Social de Nova Serrana, através do Centro Pop, realiza o Projeto Agasalha Pop, que oferece acolhimento e cobertores para pessoas em situação de rua.
No dia 17/05 foi realizada uma ação de busca ativa e orientação das pessoas em situação de rua no município, divulgando a informação do Alerta de Baixas Temperaturas.
A equipe do Centro Pop se deslocou pela cidade, identificando pessoas em situação de rua, orientando quanto a possibilidade de serem acolhidas provisoriamente no local, visando evitar os danos do frio.
Os que aceitaram a proposta foram direcionados ao Centro Pop, aqueles que não apresentaram interesse em ir para o equipamento foram orientados a se agasalhar. Cobertores foram oferecidos.
