A Prefeitura de Nova Serrana deu início ao processo de licitação da Parceria Público Privada (PPP) para a viabilização do projeto Cidade Inteligente. A primeira sessão pública ocorreu na última quinta-feira (16), e contou com a participação de sete empresas, que apresentaram suas propostas de acordo com os estudos de viabilidade realizados pelo Instituto de Planejamento e Gestão de Cidades (IPGC Brasil). O Instituto foi responsável também pela modelagem e estruturação da Parceria Público-Privada.
A PPP Cidade Inteligente em Nova Serrana prevê a reforma de todo o parque de iluminação pública municipal, além de instalação, operação de manutenção de infraestrutura de telecomunicações, que levará fibra óptica aos prédios da administração pública, além de pontos de wifi gratuitos para a população.
Serão mais de 138 mil metros de fibra óptica, 204 câmeras de monitoramento divididas em 143 pontos estratégicos e 38 pontos de wifi público. O contrato de operação dos serviços, no valor de R$65.978.589,00 será firmado pelos próximos 25 anos.

Cidade Inteligente é aquela que consegue otimizar a utilização de seus recursos e serviços para atender melhor o cidadão. Segundo a União Europeia, smart cities são sistemas de pessoas interagindo e utilizando meios que propiciem o desenvolvimento humano e econômico.
Assim como na maioria dos municípios brasileiros, o parque de iluminação pública de Nova Serrana conta hoje com luminárias de vapor de sódio e vapor metálico. Com a implementação do projeto, os 15.220 pontos de iluminação receberão luminárias de LED, que além de maior potencial de luminância, geram maior economia.
“O projeto também trará uma nova infraestrutura de dados. Através de fibra óptica, prédios públicos terão acesso à internet, Wi-Fi público será disponibilizado à população e um sistema de videomonitoramento ampliará os recursos para a segurança pública da cidade”, disse a prefeitura em nota.
Para o prefeito Euzebio Lago, trata-se de um projeto para colocar Nova Serrana de vez na vanguarda do desenvolvimento na nossa região. “É a cidade que mais cresce em Minas Gerais, e uma das que mais crescem no Brasil. Este é um desafio que tem de ser feito com muito planejamento, com muita atenção. Nova Serrana nunca mais será a mesma depois desta PPP”, comenta o prefeito.
Nova Serrana será mais uma cidade a entrar para a lista de municípios que investiram em soluções inteligentes e sustentáveis. A cidade de Carmo do Cajuru, no centro-oeste de Minas, já está em fase final de aplicação do projeto, também estruturado pelo IPGC. Uberaba, Campo Belo e Ouro Preto também apostaram na mesma ideia e hoje já prestam serviços de qualidade à população.
