Uma ação social entre a Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais e a Defesa Civil do Estado foi realizada na segunda-feira (7), em Nova Serrana. As instituições doaram 8 colchões e 18 kits dormitório (travesseiros e cobertores), para serem destinados a pessoas carentes do município. Em nota, a PM disse que a ação é uma forma de acolher a população carente que também sofre o impacto e os desastres causados pela pandemia em virtude da Covid-19.
Participaram da entrega o Comandante da 7ª Região de Polícia Militar, Coronel Wemerson Lino Pimenta, que também é o Coordenador Regional da Defesa Civil, o Prefeito de Nova Serrana, Euzebio Lago, o Comandante do 60º BPM, Tenente Coronel Alexsander de Oliveira Silva, o Secretário de Defesa Social de Nova Serrana, Antônio Marcos de Oliveira, a Coordenadora da Defesa Civil do município, Selma Fernandes Lima, e o Agente Regional de Proteção e Defesa Civil, Tenente Samuel Gontijo Fernandes.
A Polícia Miliar informou que continuará realizando ações sociais em busca de diminuir os impactos negativos causados pela pandemia, bem como de outros desastres.
