A 5ª Festa de Reinado do bairro Planalto em Nova Serrana acontece desta sexta (16) até o domingo (18), na praça João Paulo II (Praça da Igreja). Na abertura, hoje, a partir das 18h, haverá apresentação artística da dupla Geno e Janinho e o sanfoneiro Jardel. Amanhã, sábado, a animação fica por conta da dupla sertaneja Wilson & Soraia. No domingo, a partir de 8h, acontece a recepção aos cortes, procissão às 15h e celebração da missa Conga logo em seguida.
O evento é realizado pela Irmandade Nossa Senhora do Rosário do bairro Planalto, com o apoio da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura e Turismo, através da Prefeitura de Nova Serrana, e com recursos de emendas parlamentares impositivas, destinadas pelos vereadores da Câmara Municipal.
A festividade é um Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial protegido do município de Nova Serrana, celebrada em honra a N. Sra. do Rosário, São Benedito e N. Sra. das Mercês e Santa Efigênia.
História de resistência da tradição afro-brasileira
Reinado, ou Congado, foi incorporado às celebrações católicas no Brasil e, recentemente, foi reconhecido como Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial do Estado de Minas Gerais.
