O Governo Federal vai acabar com a regra que isenta os impostos para encomendas internacionais abaixo de US$ 50 — cerca de R$ 250. Atualmente, o benefício é exclusivo para pessoas físicas, mas o governo afirma que ele tem sido usado por lojas online de maneira indevida para conseguirem um benefício fiscal.
Na prática, a suspeita é que empresas como a Shein, por exemplo, têm fracionado suas remessas em vários pacotes para chegarem ao Brasil como se tivessem sido enviadas por indivíduos. Com isso, os envios ficam abaixo do limite para tributação.
Essa acusação veio inicialmente da Frente Parlamentar do Empreendedorismo, que defende que essa manobra dos players estrangeiros prejudica as empresas brasileiras — taxadas por toda a cadeia produtiva.
Uma vez que deixa de existir a isenção na Alfândega, os produtos estrangeiros — principalmente os de baixo valor — tendem a aumentar consideravelmente seus preços. Até porque a taxa de importação atual é de 60%.
Por outro lado, além do ganho de competitividade das empresas brasileiras, o governo espera arrecadar R$ 8 bilhões por ano com essa “simples” mudança.
A ideia do governo é criar uma Medida Provisória — que vale por 60 dias — determinando o fim da isenção. Depois do prazo, o Congresso tende a votar para manter (ou não) a decisão do Executivo. (Com The News)
