Com a chegada das confraternizações e festas de final de ano, eventos propícios a aglomerações, o Governo de Minas, por meio da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG), reforça a importância de as pessoas completarem o esquema de vacinação contra a covid-19. É necessário também redobrar a atenção com os cuidados de higiene para evitar a propagação do vírus.
O secretário de Estado de Saúde, Fábio Baccheretti, ainda lembra que, entre pessoas acima dos 40 anos, apenas metade buscou a segunda dose de reforço. “As pessoas têm que entender que, com a ômicron (variante da covid-19), só duas doses não são suficientes. Temos que garantir a terceira dose para as pessoas com até 40 anos e, acima de 40 anos, a quarta dose”, reforçou.
O secretário salientou também os esforços para ampliar a vacinação de crianças no estado.
“Temos insistido também com o Ministério da Saúde, junto ao Conselho Nacional de Secretários de Saúde (Conass), nos posicionamos recentemente com a equipe de transição do novo governo, sobre a necessidade de ampliar a vacinação, especialmente para crianças de seis meses a dois anos e onze meses”, disse.
– Período de sazonalidade
O secretário lembra que no início do próximo ano, além da covid, a população começa a conviver com outras doenças de forma mais intensa, como a gripe e a bronquiolite. O que aumenta a necessidade de colocar todo o cartão de vacinação em dia.
“Não podemos chegar ao período de sazonalidade, que já está batendo à porta, sem ter protegido melhor especialmente as crianças e os idosos com comorbidades. Os casos de covid estão aumentando, era esperado, é uma nova subvariante, mas temos que lembrar que em fevereiro e março começam a juntar também várias doenças sazonais”, salientou.
– Doenças já erradicadas
Baccheretti faz um apelo também à população para que não deixe que doenças já erradicadas voltem ao país e a Minas, como o sarampo e a poliomielite.
“Quero lembrar os pais, avós, responsáveis, para levar as crianças aos postos de saúde. A caderneta de vacinação provavelmente deve ter alguma coisa em atraso. Temos vacina contra a poliomielite, meningite, a tríplice viral, a tríplice bacteriana. Temos que estar preparados e a melhor prevenção é a vacina. Vá ao posto garantir essa proteção para que essas doenças não voltem nunca mais”, enfatizou.
