O início da vacinação contra a covid-19 em Minas será no Hospital Eduardo de Menezes, no bairro Bonsucesso, na região do Barreiro, em Belo Horizonte, conforme apurou a Itatiaia. A unidade é referência em doenças infecciosas e no tratamento de pacientes com o novo coronavírus. A aplicação de doses deve começar ainda nesta segunda-feira (18).
No início da manhã, o ministro da Saúde, Eduardo Pazuello, afirmou que o início da imunização será nesta segunda. Mais tarde, o governador de Minas, Romeu Zema (Novo), publicou no Twitter que isso deve ocorrer no estado a partir das 17h. Inicialmente, Minas receberá cerca de 561 mil doses, segundo o governador.
Nesse domingo (17), a Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) aprovou as vacinas Coronavac, produzida pela Sinovac e pelo Butantan, e o imunizante feito pela Oxford com a Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz).
