O governo de Minas Gerais declarou situação de emergência em saúde pública em razão do cenário epidemiológico de arboviroses no estado – sobretudo dengue e chikungunya. O decreto foi publicado neste sábado (27) no Diário Oficial de Minas Gerais e vigorará por 180 dias.
De acordo com a publicação, até o momento, foram registrados 11.490 casos confirmados de dengue e 3.067 casos confirmados de chikungunya no estado apenas nas três primeiras semanas de 2024.
No caso específico da dengue, o texto destaca haver predominância de infecções pelo sorotipo 1, mas já há também detecção de casos do sorotipo 3, que não circulava de forma epidêmica no Brasil há mais de 15 anos.
A publicação autoriza o governador de Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, a tomar medidas administrativas para conter casos de arboviroses, incluindo a aquisição de insumos e materiais e a contratação de serviços necessários ao atendimento da situação emergencial.
O texto ainda instala o Centro de Operações de Emergências de Arboviroses, coordenado pela Secretaria de Saúde de Minas Gerais, para monitoramento e gestão da situação de emergência no estado. (COM AGÊNCIA BRASIL)

Em Nova Serrana, em 2024, já foram registrados 191 casos prováveis de dengue e um foi confirmado. Não há internados e nem óbitos confirmados.
