A taxa de desemprego encerrou o ano de 2020 em 13,9%, segundo dados da Pnad Contínua (Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios) divulgados nesta sexta (26) pelo IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística).
O trimestre encerrado em dezembro foi o último em que houve liberação do auxílio emergencial de R$ 300 (em janeiro, houve liberação de saque de parcelas residuais).
Em novembro, a taxa seguiu estável no trimestre encerrado em novembro, em 14,1%, mantendo o patamar recorde de 14 milhões de pessoas.
Desde que o valor do benefício foi reduzido de R$ 600 para R$ 300, a taxa de desemprego passou a sofrer maior pressão, com um número maior de pessoas em busca de uma vaga.
O governo busca uma solução para o retorno do benefício. O presidente Jair Bolsonaro (sem partido) disse na quinta-feira (25) que pretende pagar R$ 250 em uma nova rodada de auxílio prevista para ser iniciada em março.
A liberação, contudo, depende da aprovação da PEC (Proposta de Emenda à Constituição) Emergencial, que estava prevista para ser votada no Senado na quinta (25), mas foi adiada para a próxima semana por divergências quanto ao fim do piso de gastos em saúde e educação -mudança que consta na PEC.
