A economia cresceu 0,9% na passagem do segundo para o terceiro trimestre do ano, empurrada pela indústria e pelo setor de serviços, na 13ª expansão consecutiva. Em relação ao terceiro trimestre de 2023, o Produto Interno Bruto (PIB, conjunto de todos os bens e serviços produzidos no país) apresentou alta de 4%.
No acumulado de quatro trimestres, o crescimento da economia do país soma 3,1%. Os dados foram divulgados nesta terça-feira (3), pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). Em valores correntes, o PIB chega a R$ 3 trilhões de reais.
Em um recorte setorial, os serviços e a indústria cresceram 0,9% e 0,6% respectivamente, na passagem do segundo para o terceiro trimestre. Já a agropecuária foi o único setor que registrou queda, de 0,9%.
Com os resultados divulgados, o PIB e o setor de serviços renovam patamares recordes. Por outro lado, a indústria se encontra 4,7% abaixo do pico, alcançado no 3º trimestre de 2013.
A alta de 0,9% no trimestre ficou abaixo do crescimento de 1,4% apurado na passagem do primeiro para o segundo trimestre de 2024.
Emprego e renda
A coordenadora de Contas Nacionais do IBGE, Rebeca Palis, atribui o resultado positivo do trimestre a fatores relacionados a emprego e renda.
“A gente continua com vários efeitos positivos, como o mercado de trabalho, a inflação está acima da meta, mas não está em níveis altíssimos, e o governo continua com a política de transferência de renda”, enumera, lembrando que a taxa de desocupação atingiu patamares mínimos historicamente.
Palis pondera que a desaceleração frente o crescimento apurado no segundo trimestre (1,4% para 0,9%) não é ainda impacto do aumento, em setembro, da taxa básica de juros, por parte do Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom), passando de 10,5% para 10,75% ao ano.
“Demora um tempo para ter um efeito maior sobre a atividade economia. O terceiro trimestre não tem tanto esse impacto, apesar de o juro estar em um patamar elevado”, diz.
Ela acrescenta que a base de comparação é alta, o que faz com que aumentos sejam menos expressivos. (COOM INFOR. AGÊNCIA BRASIL)
