    ESCASSEZ HÍDRICA LEVA A RESTRIÇÕES NA CAPTAÇÃO DE ÁGUA NO RIO PARÁ, PRÓXIMO A NOVA SERRANA

    Na última quarta-feira (04), o Instituto Mineiro de Gestão das Águas (IGAM) declarou “situação crítica de escassez hídrica superficial” no trecho do Rio Pará que fica à montante (rio acima) da Estação Velho do Taipa, em Conceição do Pará. A medida impõe restrições na captação de água das outorgas da região e é válida por 45 dias, afetando vários municípios, entre eles Nova Serrana.
     
    Não chove na região, significativamente, há quase 140 dias.
     
    Conforme o IGAM, o monitoramento fluviométrico na Estação Velho do Taipa constatou que a média das vazões diárias de sete dias consecutivos ficou abaixo do mínimo necessário, caracterizando situação crítica de escassez.
     
    A portaria do IGAM, que já foi publicada do Diário do Executivo de Minas Gerais, determina restrição na captação de água das outorgas à montante da estação Velho do Taipa. Com isso, as outorgas vigentes para captação de água superficial vão sofrer as seguintes reduções:
    20% no volume diário outorgado para as captações de água para a finalidade de consumo humano, dessedentação animal ou abastecimento público;
    25% do volume diário outorgado para a finalidade de irrigação;
    30% do volume diário outorgado para as captações de água para a finalidade de consumo industrial e agroindustrial;
    50% do volume outorgado para as demais finalidades, exceto usos não consuntivos.
     
    A situação crítica de escassez hídrica, bem como as restrições na captação, se aplica tanto ao Rio Pará quanto à sua bacia de contribuição, ou seja, córregos e demais cursos d’água afluentes do Pará. Ao todo, cerca de 200 outorgantes vão ser afetados, nos municípios de Igaratinga, Itatiaiuçu, Desterro de Entre Rios, Piracema, Perdigão, Pará de Minas, Carmo da Mata, Passa Tempo, São Sebastião do Oeste, Pará de Minas, Pitangui, Onça do Pitangui, Itapecerica, Divinópolis, Carmo do Cajuru, Conceição do Pará, Itaguara, São Gonçalo do Pará, Itaúna, Oliveira, Nova Serrana, Resplendor, Cláudio, Arcos e Carmópolis de Minas.
